Automated Rendering Service for Z-Axis®

How does the Automated Rendering Service determine what scene to render?

CHI-LLC's Automated Rendering Service uses the View 3D scene from the Z-Axis VIEW mode. It is recommended that you maximize the Z-Axis application prior to positioning the 3D scene. Renderings are based on Display All. Be sure to position your 3D scene to the one you want immediately prior to saving your Z-Axis file.

I want multiple renderings from the same file. How can I do this?

Position each 3D scene and do a "Save As" to create a separate Z-Axis file for each scene you want rendered.

Can I preview the rendering before paying for it?

Yes, you have an opportunity to preview your renderings prior to purchasing them. After uploading your Z-Axis file, the system will generate the rendering and provide you with a thumbnail image. Click on the thumbnail image to see the preview. Previews have a large CHI-LLC watermark. Purchased renderings do not have a visible watermark.

Do you accept payment other than credit cards?

Yes, you can purchase automated renderings in bulk (minimum $500 purchase) by contacting CHI-LLC and making alternative payment arrangements. If you purchase $1,000 (or more in a single purchase) the automated rendering cost is reduced to $20 each.

I want a special carpet shown in my rendering. How do you do that?

We need a "tileable texture" map electronic image of the carpet. If you supply the electronic image the cost is $25 each. Some carpet manufacturers provide images on their websites. If we need to research, acquire, and/or modify the image, it will require a minimum $100 labor charge.

Can you render multiple files from Save View and Restore View features?

Not at the current time. We are considering expanding the rendering service to have additional capabilities. Please let us know if there are features you want.

How long should I expect to wait for a rendering to be generated?

Most automated renderings are ready in less than 30 minutes. We guarantee that your rendering will be completed in one business day or less - or your next rendering is free.

Can I upload more than one file at a time or do I need to wait for each rendering prior to submitting additional requests?

Can I upload files with the same name?

Yes, you can upload multiple files with the same name and the service will keep them separate.

My rendering needs manual intervention (COM, special carpet, etc.) - how do you handle that?

Please contact CHI-LLC (425-282-6900) and we'll give you an estimate of the time and costs to create manual (non-automated) renderings.

Can CHI-LLC produce hardcopy prints of the renderings?

Yes, contact us for rates and lead-times.

What browsers and other technology work with this service?

Internet Explorer 6 or newer, Firefox 1.5 or newer and Opera 9 or newer. For optimal viewing we encourage you to have JavaScript enabled in your browser settings.

I've uploaded my Z-Axis file, purchased credits, but I don't see my rendering in the Downloads section, where is it located?

Once credits are purchased, a link next to uploaded files will say "Purchase with Credits". Clicking this link will use 1 credit per rendering. A dialog box will then prompt you to save or open the file. After saving, or opening your rendering it removes it from the Uploads section and places it in the Downloads section. Your rendering will then be saved and you can access it via the download tab for 30 days from the date of purchase.
